Every spring and fall the "Snowbirds" sail by our houses on the Pasquotank. Snowbirds are boat owners who sail south in the winter and north in the summer avoiding the snow and the heat. They a joy to watch from your own deck. The Pasquotank River is part of the Intracoastal Waterway.
